May 12, 2020

If you haven’t already noticed, I’ve made some slight adjustments to my blog and it’s purpose, I’ve also started a YouTube channel which you can find here. That is also why there was no blog post from me last week. I have got clear on my goal so I can share precise and quality content for you, my readers. The mission with my blog, YouTube channel and anything else under the Pearl Of The Sea name, is to give you the tools you need to start and sustain your vegan, eco-friendly and personal growth journey’s. Today I want to share with you some of my favourite vegan Instagram accounts that will inspire you to transition and sustain your new, kinder, lifestyle.

I have so much content and resources planned for you all. Including a free e-book that will help you in your vegan lifestyle transition; if that interests you, follow me on Twitter and Instagram to be updated on when that goes live – I am working on bringing out a newsletter you can subscribe to. I’m super excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to build a community of like minded and caring souls. So without further ado, let’s talk about some incredible vegans and their vegan Instagram accounts. I’ll be splitting it up between food and lifestyle vegan Instagram accounts.

I’d be a pretty lousy blogger if I didn’t speak about my own account, wouldn’t I? From this week I’m going to be putting in a lot of time and energy into my Instagram feed, so give me a follow.

@avantgardevegan – Gaz Oakley

Gaz Oakley is one of my favourite vegan Instagram accounts when it comes to food. He trains so he has lots of high protein recipes, but not like vegan body builder high protein meals where you’re eating like half your body weight in food. He also has plenty of other recipes, so no matter what your vegan diet, he has something for you. He’s also charming, funny and he’s a sight for sore eyes. Gaz shows that there is no need to miss out on a vegan diet and often shows just how exciting and enticing vegan food can be. He had his own featured dish in Wagamama’s, which was tasty. He also has three cookbooks, one of which is a Christmas one, his most recent, Plant Only Kitchen, is on my list of things I want to buy when I’m on my full wage, not just furlough.

@rachelama_ – Rachel Ama

I found Rachel Ama towards the end of my transition but she still helped me all the same! She has such a bubbly personality and could put a smile on anybody’s face; she has one of those smiles that is just contagious. Her recipes are always bursting with flavour and boy are they colourful! She has her own cookbook called Rachel Ama’s Vegan Eats, I’ll have it linked below if you want to check it out. She also recently announced that she’s pregnant so I’m excited to see the content she creates around bringing up a child on a plant based diet, so if you are also expecting a child and are interested in bringing them up vegan, then definitely give Rachel a follow. Her content is always so informative and I can’t imagine that will change when she creates content around being a mum.

@sweetpotatosoul – Jenne Claiborne

Another vegan Instagram accounts to follow for content on raising a child on a vegan diet is sweetpotatosoul. Jenne is another vegan that I found towards the later part of my transition and her tips helped me greatly. She shares all types of delicious and satisfying recipes and loads of great tips for those that are considering making the transition. She also has her own cookbook for 100 easy vegan recipes for the southern flavour. So if you’re looking for a vegan that shares amazing and tasty recipes, plant based family life and fitness/ wellbeing tips, then I highly suggest you check out her instagram account.

@pickuplimes – Sadia Badiei

Sadia is one of my favourite, not only vegan Instagram accounts, but vegans in general. Her YouTube videos helped me massively when I first started on my vegan journey; she really helped my transition run more smoothly than if I hadn’t found her. She is also a dietitian, so her recipes are incredibly nutritious, as well as delicious and fuss free. Her aesthetic is so soothing and grounding, and she is a breath of fresh air. Sadia will help you get in everything you need on a vegan diet to live a happy and balanced vegan life. She has a e-cookbook which you can find here.

@madeleineolivia – Madeleine Olivia

Madeleine Olivia is another one of my all time favourite vegan Instagram accounts, and just people in general really. She recently came out with a book ‘How to simplify your life and live sustainability’. I’m yet to finish it, but I’ve absolutely adored what I’ve read so far. She’s just an all round down to earth, inspiring and hilarious YouTuber and person. She is foremost a vegan food blogger and YouTuber, but the reason I’ve put her under the lifestyle category of this post is because her Instagram is filled up with more lifestyle posts, as well as sustainable living posts. She is where I got the recipe to make my favourite vegan mac ‘n’ cheese. She also has content based around minimalism too. She has all kinds of recipes on her YouTube channel, including recipes that are quick, easy, affordable and of course, delicious! She shows that a vegan diet doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg, in fact it can be cheaper than an omnivore diet.

@veganevan – Evan

This 10 year old is a vegan activist powerhouse! I can only wish that if I ever have a son, he turns out like Evan. I’m somewhat envious that he can do his animal rights activism without getting a lot of stick, although I can imagine there are still some people that want to argue about veganism, even if it means with a child. You may have even seen him pop up on your facebook or Reddit feeds as he’s stared in a lot of viral videos. It’s inspiring to see someone so young be so brave, fighting for those who need our help more than any other. I’m wishing I had met a kid like him when I was his age, I imagine I would’ve gone vegan a hell of a lot sooner.

@stephelswood – Steph

Another one of my favourite vegan Instagram accounts, I feel like I’ve said that so far for everybody on this list, is Steph. Even though her main niche is probably fitness, she is still an amazing vegan that you should follow on Instagram, especially for sustaining that new kind lifestyle. She features lots of vegan food on her feed and stories. She also proves that you can still be vegan and focus on your fitness too, without having to worry about being malnourished. She is a ray of sunshine that will light up your feed and honestly your life. She’s such a special soul and not only will you be inspired to live a healthy and kind to all life, but you’ll be inspired to love your body and create the life of your dreams.
